Since 1972, South Carolina AHEC has strived to improve the training, diversity and distribution of health professionals to build and support the healthcare workforce South Carolina needs to connect all communities to better health.
So glad to have attended the Family Solutions' annual scholarship luncheon with @scruralhealth last week and have the opportunity to support this amazing program improving the quality of life of parents and children in rural communities.
Healthcare workforce data are used to identify needs, support grant proposals, justify funding requests, allocate resources, and evaluate programming. @scohw provides unbiased, timely, info to help stakeholders make informed decisions.

AHEC continuing education programs provide a local and low-cost approach to the education needed for health professionals to maintain their licensure and certifications and practice high-quality healthcare.

More than 7,600 professionals participated in SC AHEC continuing education programs last year, accruing nearly 58,000 contact hours of education. Of registrations, 71% were by professionals in medically-underserved communities and 19% were from rural communities.
AHEC CPD Programs offer local and cost-effective ways for healthcare professionals to stay up-to-date with the latest research and guidelines while also obtaining credit and maintaining licensure and certifications.
