Our first Accordion Supercharger
Our goal is to pre-assemble all Superchargers in a factory. If we can't install Superchargers behind a curb, we now have a pre-assembled solution for Superchargers between parking spaces.
16 stalls per truck shipment, 20% cheaper to install, instant commissioning, highest quality.
Good details about the European version of the Tesla Semi:
• Truck has 10 cameras with full 360° view
• No traditional side mirror. Cameras only.
• No front light bar due to local regulations (this was expected). Similar headlight setup to the base Model Y.
• European cab is the same length and width as the US version
• Uses aerodynamic-truck regulation exemption so it can run regular European trailers
• Marker lights moved from the top of the truck for regulations
• Cab roof height was adjusted slightly to match European trailer heights
• Added an interior emergency escape ladder for tip-over situations
• Tesla has a CCS2 to MCS adapter so the MCS-only Semi can charge on existing CCS2 sites while they build out their Megacharger network
• Seat movement is controlled from the screen, similar to Model Y Standard and Cybercab.
Tesla officially unveiled the European version of their Semi last week:
• Range: 550 km (~342 miles)
• Energy consumption: 1.0 kWh/km (1.61 kWh/mile)
• Fast charging: Up to 60% of range in 30 mins
• Drive power: Up to 800 kW
• Curb weight: <9,100 kg (<20,000 lbs)
• Gross vehicle weight: 40 metric tons
• ePTO (electric power take-off): Up to 25 kW
European deliveries start in 2027.
I think people are significantly underestimating just how much FSD has become a major driver of Tesla sales in North America.
When I ask most people buying their first Tesla why they’re getting it, they now say: FSD.
This wasn't the case even early this year. There has been a real shift these last 3-6 months in terms of awareness of this technology.
Semi is coming to Europe
– Up to 550km of range at 40T (fully loaded)
– 1 kWh/km energy consumption
– Megacharger at up to 800 kW recovers ~60% of range in 30 minutes
– ePTO up to 25kW
– 40T gross combination weight, 9,100kg curb weight

EXCLUSIVE: Tesla has just officially received approval for its full Autonomous Vehicle Network Company permit in Nevada, clearing the way for Tesla to launch a paid public Robotaxi service in Las Vegas.
This officially allows @Tesla to deploy up to 5,000 robotaxis over the next 12 months. The permit approval covers all of Clark County (which includes Las Vegas), but this approval actually allows Tesla to operate across the entire state of Nevada, according to the commission, as long as Tesla notifies the commission of when they want to expand their geofence.
I just watched live the Nevada Transportation Authority’s entire 4-hour long August 20th General Session meeting, and a few minutes ago the Commission approved Tesla’s permit.
Tesla representatives were at the meeting today, and they said that they won't deploy all 5,000 robotaxis at once in the beginning (obviously), but that this permit approval gives them the flexibility to deploy more vehicles over time. They'll start with a small launch of a few vehicles and then grow from there.
Tesla completed Nevada’s self-certification process for Robotaxi last November, and applied for an Autonomous Vehicle Network Company permit on June 3, 2026. Now with all approvals, Tesla can begin commercial Robotaxi operations in the state once they complete a few simple administrative things (vehicle inspections, insurance, provide the rates to be charged for transportation, etc). That should happen within the next 30 days.
To be clear, today's approval is separate from the interim operating order Tesla previously received, which limited its robotaxi fleet to just 10 vehicles. Today’s approval replaces that previous interim operating order, and authorizes a fleet of up to 5,000 fully autonomous vehicles.
23 years ago, we set out to prove that electric cars could be great – not just great electric cars, but the best cars overall.
We’ve gone from one electric sports car to
– Over 9 million vehicles on the road
– Model Y becoming the world’s best-selling car of any kind only 3 years after first deliveries
– 5 Gigafactories & other manufacturing sites across 3 continents
– The largest & most reliable fast charging network w/ over 80,000 Superchargers globally
– Energy generation & storage systems helping power homes & grids (over 1 million Powerwalls installed, 70+ GWh of industrial energy storage operating globally across 2,200+ projects)
Today, we’re bringing AI into the real world with autonomy @Tesla_AI and robotics @Tesla_Optimus.
Tesla is only getting started – a world of amazing abundance awaits
Today, we announced a $ 250m investment for our Giga Berlin Cell factory. This will enable 18GWh of annual 4680 cell production and create more than 1500 new jobs. Good news during challenging times for the German industry.
WattEV has just announced that it is deploying 370 @Tesla Semi trucks, the largest single electric truck deployment in California.
• ~$100 million worth of Tesla Semis
• First 50 Tesla Semis to be delivered in 2026, full fleet by end of 2027
• 300+ of the Tesla Semis will be deployed under a joint program with the Port of Oakland
• New Megawatt charging hubs coming in Oakland, Fresno, Stockton & Sacramento
• Built to scale zero-emission long-haul freight across key CA corridors
“We selected the Tesla Semi based on cost, performance and availability after issuing a public request for proposals,” Salim Youssefzadeh, WattEV’s CEO, announced at the annual ACT Expo industry trade show in Las Vegas today.
"With the Tesla Semi now entering mass production and drawing strong reviews from fleet operators nationwide, WattEV’s vertically integrated model – combining vehicle deployment, megawatt-class charging infrastructure, and full-service leasing – offers a turn-key path for carriers without any capital risk."
More than 300 of the Tesla Semis will be deployed under a joint program with the Port of Oakland. Delivery of the first 50 Semis coincides with WattEV’s planned opening of truck-charging stations at the Port of Oakland and in Fresno, both equipped with Tesla’s Megawatt Charging System chargers capable of providing 300 miles of range to a Semi in approximately 30 minutes, comparable to a conventional diesel fill-up. Additional depots are scheduled to open this year in Stockton along with Sacramento breaking ground in 2026.
For anyone still doubting the Tesla Cybercab - it’s starting production next month!
Elon confirmed April production at Giga Texas multiple times.
First unit was already done in February.
No wheels, no pedals, for ~$30K.
