Two weeks ago, we enjoyed a great discussion at the @SCEDA Annual Conference on the “State of Energy in SC,” and the collaboration shaping South Carolina’s future growth.
@SCEDA@DukeEnergy@DominionEnergy@santeecooper As South Carolina continues to see unprecedented economic growth, conversations like these are critical to ensuring our state remains competitive, collaborative and prepared for the future.
From leadership and resilience to site selection, retail development, and global investment, EDR 2026 sparked important conversations about what’s next for economic development.

At our recent board meeting, we had the opportunity to recognize Terry Mallard for his years of leadership and service as Chair of the South Carolina Power Team Board. (1/5)
At @BroadRiverCoop, Terry’s leadership over the past decade has helped drive nearly $900 million in investment and close to 2,500 new jobs in his region.
We’re grateful for the steady leadership, vision, and commitment he’s brought to this team and to the state. (4/5)
Under his leadership, and in partnership with our electric cooperatives and allies, we’ve seen $11.24 billion in new capital investment and 7,381 new jobs across cooperative territories. (3/5)
Since becoming Chairman in 2021, Terry has helped lead the launch of impactful initiatives like our Electric Cooperative Revolving Loan Program, statewide workforce initiative, retail attraction program, & the expansion of our Site Readiness Fund from $6M to $12M annually. (2/5)
As we reflect on our successes of 2025, we recognize the ongoing commitment of our electric cooperatives who provide the resources to both prepare communities for growth and fund the deal closing money often required to get a decision across the finish line.
