SatCen ‘s RTDI team is back from the 4th @SDGsEYES General Assembly, held at Wageningen University Campus in the Netherlands.

This event was pivotal in the Centre’s mission to enhance #Sustainable Development Goals through the #Copernicus family.

Guided by leading experts in the field, the RTDI team played a pivotal role as the Pilot Developer for Climate Security. Their extensive knowledge and experience were instrumental in managing the design, implementation, and validation of the pilots. The assembly featured presentations, discussions, and collaborative sessions focused on:
🌍 SDG13 - Climate Action,
🐟SDG14 (Life Below Water),
🦌SDG15 (Life on Land).

SatCen is looking forward to continuing the collaboration with the #SDGs-EYES consortium and leverage Copernicus Services to build effective decision-making tools for Europe’s sustainable future.

On 8-10 October, the @EuroGEO_eu Workshop 2024 brought together the Earth Observation community in Krakow to realign EuroGEO with the evolving European landscape and GEO strategy.

The workshop fostered collaboration among institutions and industries, revitalizing EuroGEO Action Groups in preparation for the post-2025 period and enhancing engagement from Eastern European countries.

SatCen is proud to play a key role leading the SPACE-SECURITY Pilot Initiative, and the Centre took this opportunity to highlight the @SDGsEYES project, which aims to support the @unitednations Sustainable Development Goals through the use of Earth Observation.
