The state government’s ambitious ‘Mhaje Ghar Yojana’ continues to receive a strong and positive response across Goa, reflecting a collective effort to secure legal home ownership rights for citizens. As part of this initiative, approval letters and official orders were handed over to 295 beneficiary families, bringing long-awaited relief and a sense of stability to households that have been awaiting recognition for years. The moment marked not just an administrative step, but a meaningful milestone in their journey towards a secure home.
The District Level Committee (DLC) of Kushavati District, presided over by Ms. Egna Cleetus, IAS, Collector, convened to take up the claims forwarded by the Sub-Divisional Level Committees of Quepem and Sanguem Talukas under the provisions of the Forest Rights Act, 2006.
During the meeting, the Committee examined 43 claims received from Cazur village in Quepem Taluka and 19 claims pertaining to the villages of Rivona, Villiana, and Bhati in Sanguem Taluka.

Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Quepem in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 163 of the BNSS, 2023 have prohibited movement of all citizens and vehicles within a radius of 500 metres from the site of the overturned HP Gas tanker on NH 66 at Paremol Barcem, Quepem until the area is declared safe by the competent authorities for prevention of danger to human life and safety and for maintaining public order.

As part of #Sevapakhwada2025 campaign, a Public Service camp was organized in the Office of the Deputy Collector & SDO-Quepem.
The camp was led by Shri Manohar Kalekar, SDM Quepem, in coordination with officials from the Mamlatdar Office, ISLR, PWD (Roads), ZAO, Civil Supplies, WRD, Police, Forest, and District Legal Services, among others.
The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, who availed services such as mutation, partition orders, forest rights claims, conversion sanad, caste certificates, and other government clearances. The single-window approach brought multiple departments under one roof, ensuring quick delivery of services and effective grievance redressal.

The South Goa District Administration, under the #SevaPakhwada initiative, organized special outreach camps in all talukas through the Deputy Collectors and Mamlatdars with support from various line departments. These camps witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens, leading to the delivery of over 1200 services and approvals during the period.
Services delivered at the camps covered a wide range of citizen needs. These included issuance of caste, domicile and residence certificates, SANAD and GRUCA approvals, forest rights claims, and mundkar declaration cases. Citizens also benefitted from disbursements under the Atal Asra Scheme, road repairs undertaken by PWD, issuance of ration cards and PDS permits, tree cutting permissions, marriage and birth registrations, as well as partition orders under ISLR. Additionally, the Transport Department facilitated new vehicle registrations, driving and learning licences, and bus permits.
