.@BristolCouncil@EdPlowden Can you give an urgent update as to when Pero’s Bridge will be repaired & reopened please. It’s been nearly a month now & is a *crucial* walkway for thousands of people in the city as well as tourists. It should be your urgent, number one priority.
Why isn’t it being repaired as a matter of urgency? This is a crucial bridge for many Bristolians and visitors making their way across the city. This cannot become yet another delayed job.
@SDPBristol Hi, It's still too early to say how long Pero's Bridge will be out of use. We will provide updates as we get them here: https://t.co/ffKlFEUDkK
Many thanks
Your energy bills are high because 34 years ago the government chose to transfer control over Britain’s energy future to firms whose only real incentive is profit.
The state’s planning agency for energy was broken up and the job of planning energy infrastructure for the future was placed in the hands of firms chasing next year’s returns.
The result was predictable: Capital investment declined, and so did energy affordability.
An SDP government would reverse this trend and establish a Central Energy body, giving it real planning and compulsory purchasing powers so it can build for the future, not just for profit.
Hi @ASPolice, anyone who lives in & around Bristol city centre will tell you there is the constant noise of vehicles, particularly motorbikes, well above the legal decibel limit. It’s a very clear example of noise pollution & anti-social behaviour. What are you doing to stop it?
Another day, another overflowing bin in Bristol - there’s clearly not enough of them. @BristolCouncil, when you are going to take action on this? @BristolWaste, is it not time for more frequent collections?
@BristolCouncil@BristolWaste It’s not an ‘incident’ to report; it’s a comment on the totally unacceptable amount of rubbish all around the city, due to lack of bins and infrequent collections. Bristol deserves so much better.
Today is the day Clacton.
Remember, number 7 on the ballot!
Vote Clouston for Clacton, Vote SDP.

Hi @BristolWaste, can you explain the appalling state of Dean Street in Bedminster this morning? Again and again in this area, there is rubbish strewn everywhere. @BristolCouncil are you aware of this?
We mark with great sadness the death of SDP member and long standing supporter Rod Liddle, announced just a short while ago.
Rod was a party stalwart, a strong voice, and a good friend.
He will be sorely missed.
Last night we held a discussion group for members and their friends across the west on @SDPhq’s green paper, ‘Energy Abundance’. There were great contributions from everyone in the room covering lots of ground & we’re looking forward to hosting the next one early in the New Year!
On Saturday we held our first action day in Kingswood. It was great to speak to so many different people and spread our message of secure families, productive industries and good governance! Tired of endless broken promises? Join us today. https://t.co/8k5jCIecPz @SDPhq
