Session 8 titled Gender Considerations in Peace Processes & in the Substance of an Agreement was held 24/6. Prof @mcoronelferrer emphasized the importance of women's participation for equal rights & an inclusive peace process.

Session 6 titled Leadership & Mediation in Post Agreement Societies: Challenges & Lessons Learned - Case Study of TL (23/6). @23teclalyla shared her experience in the reconciliation process & the role of women in mediation. The session was moderated by Dr. Fitriani Bintang Timur
Also present at Session 5 of the workshop was Naima Ismail, Founder & Director of Somali Women’s Association Malaysia. She discussed the different challenges faced by female refugees, particularly in peacebuilding, and the underlying factors #womenmediators#womennegotiators#WPS
Session 5 Humanitarian Considerations in Mediation & the Critical Contribution of Refugee Leaders in Peace Processes was held 23/6 & moderated by @Wahyuningrum. @LilianneFan stated the need to pay attention to victims in conflict & take action to address the humanitarian crisis
Session 4 titled Negotiation for Non-State Actors: Strategy, Preparedness, & Lessons Learned” was held on 22/6. @SMarhaban explained the importance of trust through confidence-building measures in the mediation process. The session was moderated by Dr. Fitriani Bintang Timur #WPS
Session 3 Negotiating from a Government Perspective-What is Due Diligence, Good Practice & the Political Gain? was held on 22/6 & moderated by Adhyanti Wirajuda. Prof Miriam Colonel-Ferrer shared her experience as Chair of the Govt panel that negotiated & signed the CAB with MILF
The 2nd session of the Workshop titled Mediation in the 21st Century was held on 21/6. Dr @Emmacambodia gave an insightful talk on the evolution of mediation practices & the need for a more feminist approach to mediation. The session was moderated by Amb Artauli RMP Tobing #WPS
At the workshop, Steering Committee members of #SEANWPNM will speak about a broad range of topics from negotiation from a government perspective, humanitarian considerations in mediation, gender considerations in peace processes and in the substance of an agreement & other issues
