@TICTelford We have all faced the most incredible year, and we will continue to do so in the future. Although my colleagues and I have been on furlough for a year now, I recognise all lives that we have lost and the suffering during this time and will continue to remember!

@RishiSunak We take it from Parliamentary coverage, large exhibition/conference venues (those which host gatherings of a scale suspended since March 2020) are eligible for the JSS Closed Scheme. Please confirm yes. #AskRishi

And #events industry is still stuck in limbo. Venues, hotels, performers, production crew & entire supply chain unable to work and unsure what or if they qualify for support. Nov is a week away & still waiting for details of JSS, headlines alone don’t pay wages! @RishiSunak
@RishiSunak answering questions on Thursday regarding the new job support schemes. A chance to add your voice @shaunhinds@thenec @olympia_london @mcr_central@ExCeLLondon @YEventCentre @ACCLiverpool for clarity on below question whilst we are all closed with no reopen date.

After watching @SkyNews today & yesterday it looks like putting arms around business & jobs promised by @BorisJohnson is over. Please @KayBurley could you highlight the still closed #exhibitions industry? Safely reopen in Europe, be interesting 2 hear why uk is still closed?
I couldn’t agree more, total insanity! The majority of #eventprofs R highly paid business professionals with decades of experience in a thriving sector before @BorisJohnson shut it down. Please continue the fight @LucyMPowell@lucyallan@HuddlestonNigel
Today should have been the day when:
Organised events returned safely
A sector worth £70bn restarted
People could meet to do business
We were ready to be part of the UK’s recovery. We are still ready.
@RishiSunak we have your back. Do you have ours?
#projectrecovery
Hi @bt_uk I have been directed to contact you on twitter from your call centres as apparently they have a high volume of calls. We have no WiFi since yesterday, I am a halo customer so please can you DM me to arrange deliver of BT Hub to get us back online? Thanks 👍🏼
Business events & exhibitions generate over £70bn & support over 600,00 jobs but because they have been forced to shut since March, with no reopen date insight, we have no work. You say it makes no sense to support these jobs @Helen_Whately ! Really?? Totally letdown @RishiSunak
We are seeing government very detached from real life at the moment. No idea what viable jobs they are closing with their silly rules. The #exhibitions industry could have been running safely all autumn and paying tax back into the economy. @BBCBusiness@AlokSharma_RDG
Absolutely fuming & appalled by @AlokSharma_RDG response to @EdMilliband !
The events & exhibitions industry was hugely successful & viable before enforced lockdown, making billions for UK economy. Now over 600,000 people told to learn new skills for ‘better jobs’! Unbelievable
