What with commie Burnham’s threat of Land Tax, a price cap on basic foodstuffs AND a lowering of Tariffs of low standard food imports, on top of all the other 💩 piled onto UK farmers…
I’ve never hated a government more than this one.
This is a sinister dismantling of UK Ag! 🤬
@RachelReevesMP not getting it yet again!
If we can’t produce it at at least cost price, we can’t afford to / won’t grow it!
When that happens worldwide, food prices are the least of our worries, it’ll be food SUPPLY! Which then increases PRICES further!
It’s economics 101!🤡
@PeterPrinsley You are part of the reason why outcomes in the UK are so poor. And yet the wonderful NHS that consumes ever greater sums of tax just gets worse and worse. Give us the choice ? Give me the % of tax that goes to the NHS and i’ll look after myself. More chance of life that way
@PeterPrinsley No one would but the NHS because it’s useless
You only peddle this nonsense to keep the gravy train running for you and your striking medical chums
Every country with an insurance system has better outcomes than us
It’s worrying you want us to have worse healthcare
The Jackdaw field alone could provide the equivalent of 250 million barrels of oil in natural gas, and could be up and running by Christmas.
But because of Ed Miliband and the Labour Party it is stuck in limbo. Keeping us ever more reliant on imports.
Madness.
England is now the only country in Europe that doesn't financially support its farmers to produce food.
Surely Trump's conflict in the Middle East and Putin's invasion of Ukraine show how utterly vital our food security is?
The Government needs to wake up and back our farmers.
Today, rural Britain begins to die. By 2035, Labour will have made
🪫 2% of our farmland under solar panels
🐄 9% of land lost from food production
🗺️ A civil servant's map to tell you what you can farm
🤝 A socialist land grab that lets activists seize control of your farm
Destroying generations of history and the nation's food security with it.
I should be on the farm today planting barley or spreading fertiliser, but instead we’re at the High Court for a Judicial Review where we’ll ask the Court to step in and declare that the Chancellor’s decision not to consult properly over IHT changes with the public was unlawful.
I absolutely detest how our country has been allowed to overflow with rubbish. The countryside filled with plastic. It is everywhere. Every roadside, caked with filth. We shouldn’t accept it as normal. It is not normal. It is vile. Clearly there needs to be a central clean up effort, but actually? The key message is this.
PUT YOUR RUBBISH IN A BIN.
People need to take responsibility. It’s disgusting.
Activist: "Every time a cow breathes out it's contributing to climate change."
Farmer: "That's not quite how it works."
Activist: "Cows emit CO2 when they breathe."
Farmer: "So do you."
Activist: "Not at the same volume."
Farmer: "The CO2 a cow breathes out came from the grass it ate, which came from the atmosphere."
Activist: "It's still adding to the carbon in the air."
Farmer: "It's returning carbon that was already in the air. Via the grass. That's a cycle."
Activist: "Cycles still add up."
Farmer: "A closed cycle doesn't add up. It goes around."
Activist: "You're being evasive."
Farmer: "I'm describing photosynthesis and respiration."
Activist: "In a way that conveniently excuses your cattle."
Farmer: "In a way that's accurate. The inconvenience is coincidental."
Activist: "I'll look it up."
Farmer: "You'll find it under GCSE Biology. Chapter three, roughly."
@narindertweets Explained by age demographics and explosion in higher education places in last 20 years. But I don’t expect you to understand that because you’re a bit thick.
