@GeordieSbm I've been here for a while. As others have said, speak to your HT and work together to find the best way forward.

And learn to let some things go. Be ruthless, and say no. We often bear too much; let some go, somehow.

It's for the best in the long run, for you and your school

@PrimaryHead2020 The ship has sailed. Leadership intervened too late. Even if they were correct in their assessment, they simply did not react or review in time, and must accept that and respect the teacher's own time, and reflect on it for future management strategy, instead of being ridiculous.

@schoolbusmgr Adjust their routines so they're sharing the extra work, reduce requirements/standards where possible, see if the site team can assist at all e.g. with bins or the halls/public spaces?

You could offer paid overtime, if it's practically and financially feasible.

Know the feeling of liking to stay in touch. Trouble is, it never, ever stops, so I think sometimes we just need to step away and let go, and pick it up another day. There is no true end, you only ever resume.
