"Don’t ever be tempted into thinking that working in a primary school is an easy option, it takes the dedication of a marathon runner, the patience of a saint, the skills of a surgeon and the organisation of a circus ringmaster." https://t.co/ZA1x34xixI
Haven't popped onto X for a while as #sbltwitter no longer seems to be a thing, but reading through old posts has really reminded me how much I loved this community during covid, also a great reminder of some wonderful memories in work and times I've felt really appreciated. ❤️
Great day yesterday at @EdExec took away so much learning from the seminars, met existing suppliers who helped massively with something I'm workng on, as well as new suppliers who I will be following up with very soon! #edexeclive#cpd#schoolbusinessmanager
Growing up British-born Chinese, CNY wasn’t acknowledged in schools—I often shied away from it. It makes me so happy to see more schools now embrace it! My kids proudly share their culture, something I wish I had growing up. A beautiful sign of progress in diversity & inclusion.
Nothing beats a good morale boost and a bit of staff appreciation to keep you going—especially when you're endlessly juggling as a primary school business manager! Who else can relate? #SchoolBusinessManager#SBMLife#JugglingAct
Decided to finally go through daughters' Y6 books and came across the page 🥲 forever juggling work and home life, and then seeing this reminds me why I do it 🥰 Gave my tweenager a big cuddle ❤️ #sbmlife#schoolbusinessmanager
Typical! Every half term seems to be spent in a hospital! Except this time, it's in Hong Kong, and the rest of the family are on their way to the airport we're stuck behind 😫 could only happen to me! Last time, I was grateful for the NHS. This time, it's Travel insurance! 😌
All our EYFS staff complete an online 6-hour paediatric first aid course, and then we pay a premium to send out 4 key staff on an official 2 day training course (6hr online, 6 hour practical) 1/2
We have a large school hall where we do parent presentations and staff training in, the hall is large, and if there is chatter, it is hard to hear the speaker sometimes. Send ideas for a solution this way, please 🙂
Non SBM related... my sis has moved back to Manchester frm London & looking for work specifically in lighting dept on film sets/production. Got tons of experience in films & music videos... can anyone help out with a network / link, give this amazing hardworking girl a break 🙏
Trying to decide whether hospital dinners are better or primary school dinners are better 🤔 Can't complain though, we have been very well looked after for the past 2 days! Grateful to the NHS for taking care of my daughter and putting a very worried mummy's mind at ease 🥰
First day of half term break stuck in the hospital with the little one, but fully appreciating their outdoor children's play area on the children's ward! 🥰 It's gorgeous 😍
Funding help! Looking for a grant that will help to fund Gymnastics for a ks1 pupil, who is a young carer and known to children services, under child in need. Can anyone help to guide me the right direction? If not, where do you all look for grants? Thanks #sbmtwitter@SBLconnect
