Significant damage occurred this afternoon from near Coleto Creek Reservoir southeast to Point Comfort/Port O'Connor area. We'll be conducting a damage survey tomorrow morning to determine the cause. A Weatherflow HurrNet station measured a 119 mph wind gust near Point Comfort.

At this time, numerous emergency crews are on the scene following the crash of a Bombardier 650 aircraft at Bangor International Airport in Maine. The aircraft, which had eight people on board, is registered to the Houston-based law firm Arnold & Itkin, according to records. The cause of the crash remains under active investigation. Officials have closed the airport as first responders continue emergency operations. Eyewitnesses report hearing a loud bang miles away at the time of the incident. It is currently unknown if there are any survivors. More information is expected as authorities continue to assess the situation.
