🇷🇼🇸🇸 In Gudele, #SouthSudan, our partnership with @RwandaMoD peacekeepers serving under @unmissmedia is expanding what primary healthcare can deliver.
200+ residents received free dental, eye care, & obstetric ultrasound examinations.
✅Care closer to underserved #communities.
🦟Defeating #malaria requires more than ambition. It requires evidence, capable leaders, trusted institutions, strong implementation and engaged communities.
🇷🇼 In 2025, SFH Rwanda supported the #ScienceOfDefeatingMalaria course in #Kigali.
🇳🇬 In 2026, we are proud to continue that journey in #Abuja alongside partners @HarvardChanSPH, @RBCRwanda, @SFHNigeria, @Fmohnigeria, @IGHupdates, @RedeemersUni, @UCAD_Senegal, and @nmepgh.
🙏🏾Sincere appreciation to our #Nigerian hosts, course organizers, academic partners, and all institutions advancing the shared ambition to defeat #malaria.
Society for Family Health (@SFHNigeria) is proud to join the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (@Fmohnigeria) and the National Malaria Elimination Programme in hosting the Science of Defeating Malaria Leadership Course (#SDM2026), taking place in Abuja from 7–13th June 2026.
As a partner alongside @Harvard, @RedeemerUniv, @UCAD_Senegal, @RBCRwanda, @sfhRwanda in this important initiative, we are committed to strengthening leadership, advancing evidence-based decision-making, and fostering collaboration to accelerate malaria control and elimination efforts in Nigeria and across Africa.
Together with national and global partners, we look forward to empowering health leaders to translate science into action and sustain the remarkable progress made in reducing malaria prevalence in Nigeria.

🌍Across #Africa, stronger #PrimaryHealthCare begins with bringing services closer to communities.
🇨🇫🇷🇼In the #CentralAfricanRepublic, SFH is partnering with the Government & local partners to expand its work and support health infrastructure, youth services, malaria prevention & community-based care.
🎯This aligns with our Vision: "Optimizing access to equitable PHC for healthier lives in #Rwanda and beyond."
Today, Rwanda Biomedical Centre welcomed a @gatesfoundation delegation on an official visit to witness the progress of Integrated Malaria Genomic Surveillance within #Rwanda’s health system.
This partnership is strengthening the ability to detect and respond to emerging malaria threats in real time, while continuously monitoring treatment efficacy through resistance tracking.
The insights generated enable targeted, data-driven interventions that advance malaria control and improve public health outcomes.
For many young people, asking questions about #SRHR can feel intimidating.
Jesca's experience highlights the importance of creating safe, judgment-free spaces where young people can learn, ask questions and make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
#Kuranawe
🏥In the heart of Juba's 🇸🇸bustling Gudele suburb, the local health center serves as a lifeline treating over 50 patients each day. Due to rising numbers of cases, particularly pregnant women, #UNMISS peacekeepers from #Rwanda 🇷🇼are helping local partner, Society for Family Health, to expand the facility. Expected to be completed in three months, this expansion will enhance maternity and childcare services by adding more beds and improving patient privacy. The aim: transforming the Gudele Health Center into a sanctuary of health and hope for communities.
#A4P #InvestInPeace
🇷🇼The future of community health is young, skilled & connected.
Through the #KoraLink program, more than 1,000 youth aged 18–35 are gaining skills, income pathways & tools to expand access to health products and digital services.
SFH joined partners @MastercardFdn, @commons_prjct and @rwictchamber in the field to listen, learn & witness the young peoples' progress firsthand.
#Rwanda #DigitalHealth
Today, the Rwanda ICT Chamber hosted the #DemoDay for the first cohort of the Rwanda Digital Health Mentorship Program (#RDHMP) under the #KoraLink Program at @fablabrw .
The event brought together innovators to showcase their digital health solution developed to address the exisitng gaps and challanges in the health tech sector.
During the Demo Day, participants presented innovative digital health systems designed to address existing gaps and challenges in the health tech sector. 🤷🏾♂️ What makes people seek care early, return for follow-up & trust a #health facility?
Sometimes, it begins with how they are received
Dignity, clear communication & responsive care build confidence in #healthcare systems!
It is not only about distance. It is also about trust.
