Sleep under a treated mosquito net every night. Together, we can eliminate malaria!

Your mosquito net is one of your strongest defences against malaria. 🦟🛏️

But how you care for it matters!

From washing and drying to proper handling, taking good care of your insecticide-treated mosquito net helps it remain effective for longer.

[National Malaria Elimination Programme @nmepgh]

A mosquito net is a simple layer of protection that helps keep mosquitoes away while you sleep. Make sleeping under your ITN every night a habit. Protect yourself. Protect your family. Sleep safe, sleep under your net. 🛏️🦟

A new insecticide-treated net works best when you know how to handle and use it correctly.

Together, we can protect ourselves and our families as we work towards a malaria-free Ghana.

Chale, Killa Ntontom and the gang are on the move again!

But this time, they’ve met their match, because when it comes to malaria prevention, we’re not leaving anything to chance.

You want to keep Killa Ntontom and her crew out? Here’s how:

1. Sleep under an Insecticide-Treated Net (ITN) every night.
No room for uninvited guests!

2. Keep your surroundings clean.
Clear stagnant water and remove places where mosquitoes can breed.

3. Stay informed and protect your family.
Make malaria prevention a daily habit, because prevention starts with you.

Enjoy Episode 6, and remember: Killa Ntontom may come knocking, but she doesn’t have to get in!

She's glamorous. She's ruthless. Her name is Killa Ntontom.

Every puddle left uncleared, every container left open, every night without a net is an invitation she'll gladly take.

Let's shut her out for good.

Now We Can. Now We Must.

The gang is backkkk! After scouting, they’ve finally found places that give mosquitoes a chance to breed.
Choked gutters, uncovered bins holding water, discarded containers and tyres collecting rainwater - these are places we should not ignore.

🦟 As part of this year’s World Mosquito Day, let’s get to know the little creatures behind some very big health concerns.

Not every mosquito plays the same role. Some mosquitoes spread malaria, some spread other diseases, and some simply mind their business. 😅 The key is knowing the difference and understanding how mosquito behaviour affects our health.

For NMEP, this knowledge helps strengthen malaria prevention and control. For you, it means making smarter choices to protect yourself, your family and your community.

This World Mosquito Day, know your mosquitoes. Know the risk. Take action. 🦟
