Today we announced with @myrnamelgar, @D4GordonMar and @alankennywong proposed legislation to help veterans working for big employers be paid the difference between their military and civilian wages for up to 30 days. Veterans shouldn't have to sacrifice $$ security for serving!

Today we said goodbye to our fellow commissioner and dear friend George Ishikata. A US Army colonel who served with great distinction, he retired from the military but still served our city as a ROTC instructor. A humble but wise man, he was always a steadfast voice...
