What you hear about COVID vaccine, when traveling around, is off the wall stuff. Constantly, without asking, people offer up their views. It is like 180 degrees different from what you read in press, partly because they want to own the press. But weirder then that
This kind of lifelong use of the titles of elected office should be discouraged. Howard Dean is not in fact a governor. Paul Ryan is not Speaker of the House.
The best reform Congress could undertake would be to run the Federal Reserve directly. That way we wouldn't be doing these massive experiments in inflating asset prices without any accountability or public discussion.
The American tradition Khan represents is much older that claimed in the article. The British monopoly on maritime commerce led New Englanders to support the American Revolution. Later, free-Soilers hated the slaveholders' domination of the US government.

Heh, apparently everyone DID spend stimulus money on imports off Amazon. As @matthewstoller noted, imports are a demand leakage so this isn’t the typical overheated economy inflation, where (US) Agg D exceeds (US) Agg S. This is a supply shock, like a low-key submarine blockade.
Well, "World Chase Tag" did indeed do better than MLS last weekend. 187k (0.07 rating) on ESPN. It aired at 1 PM Sunday. MLS aired at 5 PM and got 116k.
The current policy framework isn't getting us to make things in the U.S., and that's why people don't see this economy as doing well. It's factories in China getting the extra orders, not your neighbors. https://t.co/eACPW3Y3O4
There's incredible energy in America, lots of people with hustle and grit. But we've encouraged that hustle and grit to go to things like crypto and speculation instead of fundamentally productive activities. And China knows it.
This is what Trump and Biden have wrought, and it's because most policymakers simply do not believe making things is important, except in China, where they believe making things is essential. https://t.co/xkpn5czgR0
In a few minutes the new CFPB director @chopracfpb will testify before the House Financial Services Committee. I wonder if anyone will ask him about his initiative on big tech and financial data or it'll all be 'help consumers' vs 'be nicer to the banks.' https://t.co/Ll6bqn4Gr8
When the ports are closed, the shelves thin out -- a great many people now viscerally feel this dynamic, having faced it at their local store. Our dependence on others to make all our stuff is no longer abstract. Nobody in their right mind would feel secure in such a situation.
No, Bidenomics isn't working. Higher demand is leading to inflation but there's massive demand leakage due to imports. We don't make much here anymore. People don't feel the boom because domestically it's ephemeral and they know it.
One the worst things about inflation is it punishes the part of the working class that bought into the American myth of hard work, living within your means, & building a future without rolling the dice
This makes a lot of sense for a couple of reasons. 21st Century FOX, before they were bought by Disney, had an investment in $FUBO. Secondly, fuboTV began life as a soccer-specific service. It knows the audience better than most of its competitors.
"If we could find solutions where the money could be directed in a proper way, I have more to give,” Fink said.
For billionaires, paying taxes really is voluntary.

Shorter version is we've known about all of these serious problems with social media and Facebook for years. Do something about it.
Stop blaming the bank robber when the problem is we've legalized bank robbery. https://t.co/bJpcDuSyxh
It isn’t that Facebook “is even worse” than “anyone thought.”
It’s that lots of people spent years trying to warn everyone that Facebook is exactly this bad, but that those people were either ignored or mocked as Luddites.
