The great @E_Boeminghaus is the best muckraking business journalist in Germany. He is really an entrepreneur w a flourishing enterprise. But, driven by idealism and hoping against hope, he sacrifices his free time to provide an unvarnished chronicle of the Untergang of the German economy, on X. While nearly all full-time careerist German journalists are cozied up w the classe politique in the contemporary equivalent of the Führerbunker. Rare exceptions are @ulfposh and @jreichelt w his team @niusde_.

Meine Lieben, wer glaubt, es ginge nun nach vorne in Deutschland, der braucht dieser Tage nur auf die Finanzen der Städte, Kommunen und Gemeinden zu schauen. Im Bund sieht es bekanntlich noch schlimmer aus.

Wir befinden uns nun bald im vierten desaströsen Jahr dieser Finanzen, und es ist keinerlei Besserung in Aussicht.

Es wird an Gebühren und Gewerbesteuersätzen erhöht, dass sich die Balken biegen, aber es bringt alles nichts.

Das jährliche Finanzloch ist nicht wirklich kleiner geworden, und auch in den Prognosen geht es munter so weiter.

Auch hier bedarf es radikaler Reformen, aber es passiert nichts. Gar nichts.

Einzig unsere Eliten im Elfenbeinturm hoffen auf Besserung.

Und deswegen sage ich klar und deutlich.

Der Aufschwung ist eine Märchenerzählung, die durch die Zukunft als reales und für uns alle furchtbares Märchen enttarnt werden wird.

For once German public tv shows sophistication: They gave Amthor just enough rope to hang himself.

He is mimicking Jacob Rees-Mogg. But Jacob is an authentic conservative. A bit eccentric, in a political culture that has long had room for eccentrics. And financially independent. There is nothing genuine about Amthor, who lives off taxpayer money entirely.

The right way is v hard to get clear though: Most philosophers fall for one of the “clear-cut” ends, ignoring the fine distinctions it takes to craft, or to understand, a synthesis. Moreover, the legacy concepts current in academic philosophy are geared towards those ends. 2/ 2
