AP Physics 2 used lasers, and the concepts of diffraction and interference, to determine the width of a piece of their own hair in lab today. #PhysicalOptics#iteachphysics
My AP Physics 2 students were noticing some patterns involving concave and convex mirrors. Look at the index card...based on the projected image of the candle, can you guess which type of mirror Ali was using in her investigation? How can you tell? #optics#iteachphysics
@Mteguis Wait.. does this mean you’re not taking AP Physics 3 with me next year?! Jk, you’re the best! Congrats on all of your hard work, Melina! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉
We ended our unit on mechanical equilibrium with a spaghetti bridge competition and Brandon and Angel took home the win! Their bridge held 21 times its own weight! Not bad for a box of spaghetti and little hot glue. So proud of all of my Project Physics students! 🙌🏼 #physicsisfun
@mathteacher1729 While discussing their prior knowledge, they said they had heard that a person could lie on a bed of nails. So they predicted what would happen to the balloon. But it’s still pretty cool to see it with your own eyes and realize there is no trickery involved.. just physics.
How do you get your students to understand atmospheric pressure when it’s all around them all the time? You vacuum seal them, obviously. #physicsisfun#underpressure
