@HeidiGiokos The news cycle moves at rapid speed and is replaced by another horrific incident in our country. The spotlight and focus shifts sadly. These cases must not be allowed to go cold.

Our heartfelt condolences to those murdered in cold blood and those wounded in this horrific attack at a tavern in Carltonville, South Africa. We are at war with criminals in our country and we need a very determined committed Police service to stop the rot that has us in fear.

17 people gunned down and killed with high powered AK 47s and rifles in a tavern in Carltonville this weekend is yet another tragedy in our country. 15 lie in hospital wounded. We are at war with dangerous criminals inside our country. Cry the beloved country. We weep everyday

[Gavin Kay ❤️ @Gavinkoppel]

The mass murders of our people this past weekend is not the outcome we ever want for our country. My thoughts go out to the families in deep unparraled grief for their loved ones.

There was a time during the Madiba years when we were reconcilled, united and proud to be South Africans.
The way we turned out with the murders, corruption, theft its as if we never lived in that era at all.

We have to be a country where law & order, justice is paramount to the constitution & values we uphold. The only rights illegal aliens who have not applied to live and work here through the legal immigration process is deportation. How is this a debate ? Laws need enforcement.

Springbok rugby and Sport has done more to bring us together as a nation than anything we could ever think of. #Springboks

I imagine a South Africa where our citizens feel safe, children can ride bicycles in the streets, where women can feel secure should they walk in the streets late a night. I imagine a South Africa where citizens respect law and order. We can do it together. 🇿🇦

The informal settlements where folks live in make shift run down shacks must be addressed with compassion and understanding. We cannot expect folks to buy into the vision of creating a better society when they are ignored with contempt for their dire circumstances.

@neiljohnsonza We choose fish over fuel. Leave our oceans alone. The only Shell we want is sea shells.

@FIFAWorldCup My take is Spain are akin to an orchestra. Everyone has their part to play their part with well synchronized football. Argentina are like a jazz ensemble where they are not restricted and can create and improvise whenever they feel that need. A battle of style

Real progress doesn't begin in governments, boardrooms, or on social media. It begins in the quiet decisions we make every day. The willingness to learn. The humility to admit when we're wrong. The courage to let go of old prejudices, stubborn habits, and comfortable excuses.

The greatest revolution has never been one of politics or technology. It has always been the transformation of the human heart and mind.

Maybe the goal was never
to fix myself.
maybe it was to finally
accept myself.
