Latest update from the Storm Ciaran Situation Room following our most recent hot debrief:
Highest wind speed recorded at 102mph (89 knots)
Predicted tide height of 11.5m and significant overtopping in places expected
Fire colleagues seeing increase in 999 calls

Storm Ciaran continues to cause disruption in the island as we head towards the forecasted peak wind speeds from 4am onwards. The Situation Room is coordinating the response to all incidents and we have already relocated over 30 residents to local hotels.

The Situation Room is now in full operation at SOJP HQ managing the multiagency response to the effects of Storm CiarΓ‘n. As Islanders would expect a fantastic effort by all agencies, government departments and Honorary Police colleagues. All working through the night.
