If you're graduating this May or have recently graduated with a Bachelor's in Psyc and want more research experience before applying to graduate school, consider applying to be the full-time lab manager for our lab! The pay is great for Bryan/College Station.
Looking forward to another #innochat discussion today at 12E/9P. Would love to see more representation from #IOPsych. There is much for us to contribute!
@AndrewCollmus@N_KNIG@SIOPchat@IOPractitioners@kdnuggets@DataScienceCtrl What I am hearing is that #IOPsych needs to broaden its reach to stay relevant in a realm that is becoming increasingly multi-disciplinary. It needs to be willing to meet practitioners where we are if it is to continue to influence how we approach our work.
Hello, I-O Psych comrades – Do you believe the scientist-practitioner gap has widened or narrowed over the last decade? What part if any has the rise of social media played in this? #IOPsych@SIOPchat@IOPractitioners
@WaddellMJ@SIOPimpact@SIOPchat@IOPractitioners The gap between academic research and practice has widened as most of what is in our journals is not directly actionable. We shifted from exploratory problem-solving to theory-driven research that is 2 or 3 steps removed from application.
