We’ve spent 15 months bargaining with @MinuteMediaLTD. We’ve reached agreements on some issues, but management’s proposals on wages, medical benefits and AI remain unacceptable.
We’ve upheld and rebuilt SI, and we deserve better. This is what we’re fighting for.

We are scheduled to meet with management for a full-day session on Wednesday, and we will let all of you know how it goes.
Thank you to our loyal readers, viewers and listeners for your support of our union and the work we do ✊

Hear from our members and those across @newsguild who are sounding the alarm about artificial intelligence -- and how you can join our fight. #NewsNotSlop
Today we braved the cold to share an important message with those heading in to attend today's session of #ReutersNext: We deserve a fair contract that includes AI job protections. We stand for people-powered journalism. #NewsNotSlop

Hi 👋 It has been a while since you’ve heard from us, but we’re standing side-by-side with other @nyguild shops to send a clear, simple message: News, not slop. Readers deserve journalism crafted by human hands.
Here's how we've been fighting back during collective bargaining 👇
Through collective bargaining, we are continuing to press for protections that help prevent the spread of AI in the newsroom.
We believe our readers should get the best journalism humans can make.
We're calling on SI to commit to who has built its legacy: its people.
HERE’S THE SCOOP: Our @NYDNUnion members cover a city of more than 8 million with just 53 full-timers – and just under half of those people make less than $69,284, the minimum living wage for the city…..
Our @NYMagUnion has reached a tentative contract deal with @voxmedia and @NYMag. The deal includes strong AI protections, double digit wage increases over the life of the contract and more.....
SOURCES OF HELP (Thread): We are continuing to check on our members who have been or could be impacted by the wildfires in California. We have some resources to share....
WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS! Today, workers from @TheAthletic sent a letter to Times management calling on them to recognize Athletic editorial workers as members of the Times Guild. We are thrilled to have them in our union.
A fair union contract will ensure Sports Illustrated remains an industry-leading workplace that can attract and keep talented people, do right by its employees and live up to the standard of the brand’s history.
We look forward to working toward that contract together. (3/3)
We are excited to share that we’ve begun bargaining a contract with our operators at Minute Media.
When Minute Media acquired Sports Illustrated, it took on more than just the legacy of the brand. It took on a stable of talented and hard-working employees as well. (1/3) 🧵
We also had a union contract in place at our previous employer, and we believe the rights and protections we already fought for remain vital for our members.
We are using our previous contract as a framework with which to bargain the new one. (2/3)
