Was at Trent Bridge today and still shocked by how things unfolded. Stokes announcing his retirement mid innings, then opening the batting T20 style. Great servant to England over the years. But God knows what Brook & others were doing with the bat. #EngvNZ

@DamoSutt27 I think we need a clean slate. Key and McCullum to go as well. Not convinced that Brook should take over as captain either. But unclear who should - possibly a county captain directly in as England captain: Robinson, Hameed? rather than Brook/Root.
No easy/obvious answer.

Bloated tournement with too many teams. 3rd place teams going through reducing jeopardy. Tickets far too expensive. Huge distances between venues across 3 large countries. Inflated hotel/transport costs. Visa issues. Quarters for ad breaks. Money, money, money...

Attack was much better today, but JVP still box kicked on 78 mins giving France the chance to attack. Borthwick is instructing them to do this - mindless.

Much better in attack from England today. Big difference was Genge yellow costing us massively, and Smith's missed kicks. Chessum not going under the posts didn't help. But way better than expected. Shows the talent we have which is not fulfilling potential #FRAvENG Borthwick out
