The removal of #HIV- and #LGBTQ-related resources from the websites of the @CDCgov and other health agencies is deeply concerning.
Access to this information is crucial for ID and HIV health care professionals.

Among my worries:
1. Collapse in U.S. vaccine infrastructure, 4-6X rise in measles pertussis, polio in wastewater
2. Downsizing of American virology research, declines in pandemic preparedness
3. Erosion in U.S. biosecurity, increased vulnerability to external/foreign threats
The recent “vaccination & autism study” does NOT show that vaccines cause autism.
In fact, it doesn’t show anything. It’s a “study” funded by an anti-vaccine activist group.
This an attempt to undermine MILLIONS of data points across decades from countries globally.

Two years ago, we demonstrated that the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic likely began at the Huanan Market via zoonosis resulting from the wildlife trade.
Many unanswered questions remained about the animals themselves.
Some answers, out today in @CellCellPress.

Lots of changes to @IDSAInfo guidelines just published in @CIDJournal
“Moving forward, IDSA guidelines will be published as small manuscripts, often addressing only a single clinical question at a time.” https://t.co/aeDUzI0kX8
Since grade school (really!), I have followed treatment efforts against HIV-1. I love reading cautiously optimistic reports like this one, especially in children.
4 children have remained free of detectable #HIV for >1 year after their antiretroviral therapy (ART) was paused to see if they could achieve HIV remission.
The children, who acquired HIV before birth, were enrolled in a clinical trial funded by @NIH.

That study of viral transmission during clubbing is pretty cool, but I do not understand how an IRB could approve 7 hours of clubbing for people over 40.
