There is no good reason why companies like @nytimes should be able to force workers who were hired to work remotely and have done so for years to move across the country to NYC at any time. We are not going to just roll over. Our members deserve protection and security.
@fklein907 My (almost 13 yo) never liked cake. We spent years baking homemade cupcakes, only for him to choose candy instead. He never complained, just chose not to eat it. We finally wised up, now he gets donuts, or ice cream, or a candy bar. Cereal bar seems like a great idea to me.
@richmintz@G8090Tom I used to take my kids, but it’s not much of a schlepp from Sunset Park. We’d go early (4:30, dark, but fewer tourists) and then get dinner in Bay Ridge afterwards. It was a good holiday tradition, and now I’m feeling nostalgic.
@_celia_bedelia_ 1) scooping is what happens when you don’t have access to actual, good bagels.
2) if you still want your bagel scooped, just admit you don’t actually want a bagel & get a bialy instead?
3) and I say this as a person w/ family members with celiac disease… gluten-free bagels🤮
@lowbrains@thejournalista Tell me you have never ridden Citi bike without telling me… this is standard procedure for longer rides and regular users know it. Those boys had every right to keep the bike in their possession. She clearly wanted the “better bike”.
@Ollie_Cycles If you know them, it’s easy. If you don’t, ease into it, maybe with a compliment to their bike, or an anecdote about your own stolen bike? Losing a bike sucks and I had two stolen before I figured out that I needed to lock them better. You can save them that.
