THE WORLD RECORD IS NO MORE. Josh Kerr 🇬🇧 delivers on the hype of Project 222 as he takes down Hicham El Guerrouj’s 1999 world record in the mile, running 3:42.66 to become the first man in history under 3:43.

Kerr called his shot and thrilled a roaring home crowd, pulling away from runner-up Yared Nuguse over the final lap to make history.

A hearty thank you to all those who’ve wished us a Happy Fourth 🇺🇸! Further thanks for embracing us & making us feel part of your community… which we do. We appreciate this more than any words can express.

My ancestors came to America over 115 years ago to escape religious persecution, to give their children & their children’s children a better opportunity. They came here penniless, struggled so future generations wouldn’t have to endure the lives they were meant to.

I am forever grateful and proud to be an American. At our first game at Hillsborough on May 2 when we heard the chants USA, USA it accentuated the energy, enthusiasm & love we felt on the pitch. Heartwarming !

This year’s edition of World Cup with games spread across the continent is giving fans from all over the world a greater insight into the beauty & exceptionalism of our great Country.

Today is the 134th anniversary of the beginning of the CTA Elevated Trains. On this day in 1892, the first "L" train ran from Pershing & State to Congress & Wabash. Chicago is the only city with elevated trains in its downtown area. #history #chicago
