I think the most likely outcome, is they will try to get us on every vector so simply improving one's cybersecurity skills is really the only viable option long term. As in using pre-default ID check embedded systems and running highly custom scripts each time. Thankfully legislation and implementation are slow.
@CryptoCyberia Yeah my first instinct on that is block automated systemd updates with custom config scripts & use older (current, eventually old) distros. Was looking forward to still using Fedora & Cachy in future but would require more upkeep. Also Void Linux is an option to avoid systemd.
