I'm making a Capri desktop companion. It does not use the original VA voice. It's not out yet, any GitHub it's another person Capri!!

I did NOT use the original voice actresss voice. No cloning, no training, no AI model built from her recordings.
Heres how it actually works: Capri uses Microsoft Edges stock neural TTS voices (via the edgetts library). These are premade, publicly available voices

@Deno50764495 nope, im trying to make her able to update herself. You just tell her : "Hey capri, update" or "Hey, is there any new update?" and she should be able to tell you

I improved the way Capri searches for and plays songs on Spotify. I wasn’t entirely happy with the old approach (it would just throw the results in your face). Now you can actually watch her type and search for the song you asked for... it feels much more alive.

I also didn't train any AI to sound like her, and I didn't train a second AI to imitate her. No datasets of her voice, no voice-cloning tools, no fine-tuning.
I love the original performance and I'd never want to take anything from the people behind it. I get why people were mad

To be specific she uses : en-US-AriaNeural / JennyNeural
I only tweak pitch and speed a little, then run the audio through FFmpeg filters (echo, flanger, phaser, light reverb) to give it a "holographic cyber-construct" sound.
That's just audio effects. It's not a voice model.

@PerfectVoo i was hoping for today, but ive been working on a new feature that i will show in a cuople of minutes. It stills needs some works but its prime. So i think maybe by friday she will be ready, i havent test her on other computers, i need to see how she works on other devices

If it wasnt clear,since many of you are asking. Yes 100% free,not paying membership,tiers or anything for Capri. You don't owe anyone a cent,no openAI, no elevenlabs,no me. You will be able to use the 100% of Capri absolutely for free and running on YOUR computer. And opensourced

@Cyandrone0 I can tell you it's safe but even if I didn't you shouldn't be trusting anyone in the internet. That's why she will be opensourced so everyone can read her code and see what and how she does things

The main idea behind Capri was it to be an interface for ClaudeCode or OpenClaw, so..you can of course ask her to write code,execute tasks,and do pretty much anything those tools can do. And when shes done,she'll tell you to get back to work and stop dumb-scrolling!
