Second photo shot on film, using an adapter to run 35mm through a 120 camera (Pentax 6x7). First and last on digital with a 1960’s Pentax 6x7 lens adapted to fit my Canon.

Another digital vs. film comparison from the old Bryan Furniture building in downtown Herrin. The tile floor and painted advertisement were discovered multiple layers down, and are apparently from the time of the first business in the building close to 100 years ago.

Last spring I was given the opportunity to travel through Michigan and northern Ohio taking soil samples on prairie preserves for the USDA. It was for a conservation program to reclaim important ecosystems, with the added benefit of the wildflowers that call these prairies home.
“Bob’s Oil Well”, in the middle of wide-open northwest Texas.
I was lucky enough to be able to travel all over the state these last two years, and I can’t wait to share more of its unique landscapes.
