Five years ago today, we lost Detective Luca Benedetti. His legacy of service and dedication to San Luis Obispo lives on in everything we do. We honor his memory and we continue to hold Luca’s family and friends in our hearts. #4223 💙🖤
Established by JFK in 1962, #NationalPoliceWeek honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who serve today with courage. 💙
Several of our staff are heading to D.C. this week for the memorials. Stay tuned as we share photos to honor the fallen.
Many thanks to the CJAA executives for their support at today’s Peace Officers Memorial honoring those who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty. 💙
Congratulations to Det. Sofia Marques for being honored with the Sherwood Prize for combating hate by the @adlcalifornia today in Los Angeles. Det. Marques worked a complex case involving bomb threats targeting synagogues resulting in the arrest of the suspect.

Last Friday, we were invited to participate in @leadershipslo Justice Day. We had an incredibly good time connecting with Class 33, talking about their experience during their patrol ride-alongs and answering lots of questions about policing in SLO.
Today, we remember Officer John C. Bond, who tragically died on July 2, 1952.
Officer Bond was killed in an accidental shooting while serving his community with honor, dedication, and courage. Though the years have passed, his sacrifice is never forgotten.
