With increasing rates of speech/language disorders, parents need to set limits for screentime and try to get at least 25 minutes of conversation in per day!

@BoydMath @environmentca 100%. We never would've gone away for the weekend and left our house to flood had we known there was such a huge risk

[Dana Fergusson @SLP_Dana]

24 hours later, I have to wonder why we didn't get a better warning about the potential for 260mm of rain? I never would've gone away for the weekend had I known. I saw warning with 40-90 mm over 24 hrs. Meanwhile my basement flooded. @TimHoustonNS @environmentca @MikeSavageHFX

@TimHoustonNS Out of gas in Tatamagouche

The Northern Atlantic Ocean is heating up so rapidly that it is literally, nearly off the charts. Pay heed. This is well beyond record-breaking.

[Dana Fergusson @SLP_Dana]

@CBCHfxTraffic 102 outbound-once thru construction past Milford there is HEAVY RAIN until at least Brookfield. Those terrible ruts are FILLED with water!

[Halifax Fire News @HRMFireNews]

Crews are on scene of another working brush fire on Perrin Dr. Initial report was a 50’ x 50’ section going but it has extended. Updates to follow with the tag Perrin

Tomorrow, brave men & women will battle fires in 30+ degree temperatures while wearing heavy gear, carrying even heavier equipment while risking their lives in an unwavering attempt to push back an unrelenting force but sure, tell us more about how the ban is so unfair.

[Dana Fergusson @SLP_Dana]

@BrianGeorgeHFX And don't forget a mass murder.

Yesterday, when my best friend's mom and niece were evacuating from Westwood, their cat escaped the car. Today, an officer found her on the porch and wrangled her to my friend's house. Small moments. ❤️

[Dana Fergusson @SLP_Dana]

@imashleymi True but many pets....and more unaccounted for.

Wildlife are escaping the fires.
Watch out for deer, raccoons. porcupine and similar while being aware birds and winged wildlife may be in unexpected areas or flying lower than usual.

@CBCHfxTraffic major slowdown on 102 outbound after first Shubie exit due to construction 😵‍💫

[Dana Fergusson @SLP_Dana]

@zachchurchill So what is the answer? It's not like there's 100 trained unemployed ER and family doctors just waiting in line to be hired. And even if Dal takes more Med students every year, it still takes 6-7 years to be fully trained. There is no quick fix with a growing population

[Dana Fergusson @SLP_Dana]

@sujo_dree Hopefully there are no serious injuries of players on the ice requiring EHS or ER service. That would be embarrassing for NS!
