Ro Khanna recited a death toll and attached a man's name to it. 4.5M children "possibly sentenced to death by dismantling USAID," then demanded he be subpoenaed and investigated. That is a murder charge he declined to file in the only venue that tests one: when Musk threatened to sue, Khanna said "let's debate, I'm for free speech not lawfare." The man who wants to subpoena a private citizen now claims to oppose lawfare.

The Lancet figure is a projection, not a count. But the argument holds even if every number is exact, and that is the point.

The premise nobody states: that the need of those children is an enforceable claim on the earnings of Americans, such that withholding aid is killing. Withholding a gift is not murder. Collapse that distinction and every man who could have given and didn't is a murderer.

Steele calls it "America's soft power." It was taken by tax from individuals who were never asked. And the cure they sell is the disease: these nations are poor because statism, specifically socialism has made wealth impossible. Aid entrenched the cause. Liberty is the only answer, and it cannot be wired abroad.

Yes, problems remain.
Chronic failures do not disappear overnight.

But action matters.

In months, the administration has cleaned monuments, removed graffiti, improved infrastructure, addressed vandalism, and prepared Washington for millions of Americans coming to celebrate July 4, 2026.

Critics obsess over one imperfection while ignoring the broader result.

Trump is fixing what others allowed to deteriorate.

That is not failure.

That is overdue stewardship.

On this Summer Solstice of 2026, the six greatest threats to liberty and prosperity in the United States of America are as follows, ranked in order from most threatening to least (less) threatening:

1. Voting laws that make fraud generally impossible to prove in a court of law.

2. Failing to greatly reduce the size, scope and power of the unelected, unaccountable administrative state Leviathans at the federal and state levels.

3. Unchecked illegal immigration.

4. Mass immigration (both legal and illegal) of people from cultures who deny the basic rights of women and do not respect freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

5. Refusing to use America’s abundant, cheap oil and gas reserves in favor of expensive, wasteful, inefficient, landscape-destroying, species-killing, so-called “green” energy.

6. Social welfare programs for the able-bodied lazy.

Since Trump was elected we are making progress in these areas, but it’s not enough and will all get undone if Democrats somehow regain power. That’s why the 2026 and 2028 elections represent a binary choice between the doom or survival of the great American experiment. 🇺🇸
