I learned this lesson from my father-in-law. He retired at 55 as well. After a while, he started getting bored and wanted to get back in the game, but I didn’t know how. He built the business he sold from scratch and didn’t want to start over. He told me it’s his biggest regret in life.

Spreadsheets, personnel files, counseling, fit reps, etc. being a POG had its benefits.
