Today, after extending the duration to surrender weapons up to 6th March 2025, Chin-Kuki-Zo illegal immigrants brazenly fired around 10 rounds of guns at Kongba Maru Laipham, Imphal East District, Manipur.
When devotees went to pray there as today is the 1st day of the Month according to the Meitei Calendar.
Reportedly, there is an Assam Rifles camp @official_dgar situated above the said place, and the @crpfindia as well as the @manipur_police have already swiftly cordoned off the area.
Where the lapses happened, unverified reports indicate a few Chin-Kuki-Zo were also apprehended on the ground of suspicion.
Dear Chin-Kuki-Zo warmongers, be warned: to crush your kind will take only a few minutes if the Central Government decides to take decisive actions.

These resolute words by a BSF officer to Chin Kuki agitators attempting to disrupt Central security forces exemplify the unwavering dedication and patriotism of our forces.
The valor and commitment displayed by the BSF India in safeguarding India's unity and sovereignty deserve our utmost respect. Unlike some, who falter in their duties, the BSF remains a beacon of courage and integrity. Had this level of dedication and decisiveness been displayed earlier, the situation in Manipur might not have escalated to its current state.
Salute to the Border Security Force for standing tall, undeterred in the face of adversity. Jai Hind!

On January 3, leaders of the Kuki civil society organisation mobilised a large crowd in Kangpokpi, leading to violent clashes between civilians and security forces. The confrontation left several injured, including a woman and multiple men, some of whom are now in critical condition.
The protest was ignited by a provocative call to action, urging women to "storm the SP office" in Kangpokpi. Responding to the rallying cry, tensions escalated as an armed Kuki mob, allegedly supported by militants, launched an attack on the SP office.
The protestors were opposing the presence of central forces occupying Kuki bunkers and dominating areas referred to as "Kuki red zones." These zones are alleged strongholds of armed Kuki militants, who have been accused of targeting Meitei villages in the valley using hilltop positions.

Kangpokpi has gone rogue tonight, with armed Chin-Kuki narco-terrorist groups attacking the Kangpokpi Police Station. SP Kangpokpi has been injured and is bleeding.
I am certain they must have welcomed the SP with shawls and other gestures upon his arrival, presenting them as tokens of respect and cooperation. Yet today, he pays the price for accepting those gestures, which were anything but a greedy gesturing deception.
This mirrors the events in Churachandpur last year, where the SP office was attacked, the DC office was vandalized, and the National Flag was desecrated and pulled down.
It raises critical questions.
Where are the Assam Rifles? What happened to the SoO agreements?
@AmitShah ji, aap ab bhi nujyatiya tanav hatsa mante ho.
Do you still claim that the ongoing situation in Manipur is not terrorism but just ethnic conflict??
What Manipur needs is your genuine sincerity in addressing this crisis, nothing more, nothing less. We are now pretty sure that you want to keep the pot boiling until it got burned.

85th Nupi Lal Ningsing Thouram 2024!
Today, we commemorate the 85th Nupi Lal "Women's War", honoring the resilience, courage, and leadership of Manipuri women. The observance saw participation from diverse indigenous communities of Manipur, uniting to remember this historic struggle. A special Women's Marathon Race was also organized to mark the occasion.
What is Nupi Lal?
The Nupi Lal (Women’s War) in Manipur, India, holds the distinction of being the first-ever recorded revolt solely led by women against British colonial rulers.
1904 Uprising:
Manipuri women protested against the Lallup system, a forced labor policy that exploited men and left women to shoulder the burden of managing households and agriculture.
1939 Uprising:
Women resisted the export of rice, which caused famine and severe economic hardship, demanding justice and food security.
At the heart of both movements were the fearless women of Ima Keithel (the women’s market), who organized and led massive protests against colonial oppression.
The Nupi Lal is a testament to the indomitable spirit of Manipuri women, inspiring generations to stand against exploitation and injustice.
Let us honor their legacy by remembering their sacrifices and celebrating their strength.

CoTU's #PoppyMas Wish Arrives from Myanmar.
Oh, @CoTU_Kangpokpi is back at it again with another ridiculous demand after their violent antics in Manipur clearly shows they knew their claim is illegal. They’re migrants from Myanmar, and the Constitution doesn’t exactly back their nonsense. So, what do they do? Resort to violence, land grabs, and chaos to forcefully occupy land—probably failed at that too. And now they’re switching up tactics. But this time, they’re asking the Government of India for a separate administration as a "Christmas gift." Seriously? A homeland with zero historical, constitutional, or factual support? Talk about audacity.
India doesn’t hand out land like free samples. Every administrative change is backed by culture, history, and socio-economic factors. @CoTU_Kangpokpi, however, brings nothing but loud, baseless claims and rumors of ties to narco-terrorists—running an underground narco-criminal empire disguised as a political movement. But wait—plot twist! The indigenous people of Manipur and India aren’t handing out territories based on noise and drama. Keep dreaming, @CoTU_Kangpokpi, but no amount of noise or tantrums will get them a piece of India.
Don’t worry, @CoTU_Kangpokpi, if India doesn’t grant your Christmas wish for a separate homeland, we’ve got you covered! The Kanglei Yelhaomee Team is here to make your dreams come true. This year, forget Christmas trees—we’re giving you Poppy plants, since you’re so fond of them. Plus, we’ve hired a Burmese Santa Claus to deliver your “gift”—a separate administration or homeland, but not in India, it’s in Myanmar where you really belong.
Happy #PoppyMas in Advance and Enjoy the holiday season, Burmese Jesus Love You @CoTU_Kangpokpi.

Disheartened to read the recent comments by retired bureaucrat and former Union Home Secretary GK Pillai regarding Manipur CM @NBirenSingh.
The comments prove that there is a sustained and deliberate effort by various individuals and groups to misinform and manipulate the narrative surrounding the root cause of the present #ManipurViolence.
The unrest in Manipur began following the state government’s decisive actions against poppy cultivation, drug smuggling, and illegal immigration. While the problems of poppy plantations and drug trafficking worsened after the formal signing of the Suspension of Operations (SoO) agreement with the Kuki militants in 2008, the problem of #illegalmmigration & foreigners in Manipur has deep historical roots. The identification and deportation of foreigners and illegal immigrants has long been a demand of the people of Manipur, with the call for the implementation of the Inner Line Permit (ILP) being an aspect of this demand.
When the Manipur government took decisive action against drug trafficking and illegal immigration, it was in the national interest. It aligned with the wishes of the people of Manipur—and, indeed, the entire country. These measures should not be misconstrued as targeting any particular community or group. Manipur CM N. Biren Singh took these steps with the welfare of all communities in mind, working to address these critical issues to benefit the state & hence the country as a whole.
These decisive actions have struck a blow to the proponents of the #Kuki identity and the #Zalengam movement, provoking them to engineer the current violence in Manipur. However, to conclude that CM Biren is against any particular community in the state is a grave mistake. Members of the same community who strongly advocate the #Thadou identity instead of #Kuki identity are actively working towards peace in Manipur and backing CM Biren's efforts.
In 2011, GK Pillai lamented the need for more politicians from Manipur capable of raising the state's issues at the national level besides seeking fund. Today, CM Biren is raising the real issues facing Manipur, which have broader implications for #NationalSecurity in the long term.
Given this, is it not G.K. Pillai's moral responsibility now is to support CM Biren, despite any perceived weaknesses or limitations?
Solving the core issues of illegal immigration, poppy cultivation, and drug smuggling with decisive policy and action is the only solution to the present violence in Manipur. Any alternative approach is merely a distraction.
Meiteis in Imphal rescued hundreds of Kukis from angry mobs. There were instances where armed groups protected Kuki women and children from furious crowds. If Kuki militants and illegal immigrants are excluded, peace could be restored in Manipur the following day. The arson of Meitei homes and properties, followed by false accusations blaming Meiteis, has deeply angered the Meitei community. The burning of numerous Meitei houses and properties in villages like Phougakchao Ikhai, Torbung, Torbung Bangla, Torbung Govindpur, and Waikhurok by a Kuki mob, with support from armed militants and the passive presence of central and state security forces on May 3, 2023, sparked the #ManipurViolence.
According to custom, those responsible for starting the conflict should apologize first. Initiating the peace process requires those accountable for the arson of Meitei homes and properties on May 3, 2023, to offer their apologies first.

While the Free Movement Regime (FMR) along Indo-Myanmar border remains temporarily suspended by the Manipur state government, the announcement by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) of the plans to install an advanced smart fence system along a 100-kilometer section of the India-Myanmar border is definitely a welcomed move.
This will greatly help in preventing illegal immigration which is one of the main causes of the unrest in Manipur.

The Assam Rifles has initiated a crucial operation in the border town of Moreh, located in the Indian state of Manipur. The primary objective of this operation is to eliminate militants and prevent infiltration from neighboring Myanmar. This decision was prompted by recent attacks that claimed the life of a senior police officer, necessitating immediate action.
In response to the escalating security concerns in the Moreh area, the Assam Rifles swiftly deployed 200 additional personnel to reinforce the region. These troops were airlifted to Moreh town, underscoring the gravity of the situation and the urgency of restoring stability to the area.
