First up in What the Dickens! @SMPCfestival comes Barnaby Rudge, @tomkellytenor with @roberts_gavin piano. One of Dickens’ most sensitive figures, Barnaby describes himself as ‘silly’. His soulmate the raven, ‘harbinger of death’ is represented by the cor anglais of Clare Hoskins
