Formally @Patriots6X • You will still find a lot of Patriots tweets on this account but I’m trying to expand my horizons. Boston Sports will be the emphasis.
@iJordanMoore The Bucs ring is nice but the Patriots rings put it to shame. You can see it in this photo of Gronk. Look at the size difference from the last Patriots ring to the Bucs ring. Those last 3 Patriots rings will be hard to top.
@cgasper@ezlazar I would just ask Chris, when did it become that fans can’t be fans? Fans should be excited about the pick no matter who it was. Everyone player isn’t created equally but fans will always believe they got the best one. It’s a new & good player coming to your team, it’s exciting.
@cgasper Is every 5th rounder created equally? Should we get excited if they draft a WR in the 5th round this year and expect him to be good? I always have and always will look at 5th rounders as crapshoots that will most likely fail. If you happen to hit on one, great but it’s unlikely.
@_AndrewCallahan Isn’t Nelson Agholor the better, more consistent, more proven Receiver? He should be paid more. Samuel adds a running dimension and is more of a gadget player. Agholor is a starting caliber receiver and Samuel hasn’t been that. Samuel might have more upside but has to prove it.
@RyanHannable It’s one of Belichick’s best qualities. He recognizes when he made a mistake, bites the bullet and corrects it. He’s not one of those coaches/GMs that hangs on to & plays a guy just cause he spend money or draft capital on a player. Appears he’s doing the same with Harry.
@IsaacGoBo@AdamMKaufman If Sam Cassell isn’t a no brainer head coach candidate in your mind I’m not sure you know basketball. No brainer doesn’t mean sure thing, it just means he’s an obvious head coach candidate and 100% should get a job in short order and I would love it to be here.
@iJordanMoore The tough part w/ baseball is none of the all time great players, like the ones you listed ever really won anything. What really separates Brady, Jordan, Tiger & Gretzky is all the championships. Unless you think it’s Ruth, DiMaggio or Jeter, baseball doesn’t really have a goat.
@tomecurran All I can do is look at his last season here & ask myself, do I want two more years of that followed by at least two years of rebuild/reset? No, I’d rather start the rebuild/reset in 2020 & try to be good again in 2022. They made the correct decision to move on.
@tomecurran Complicated but correct is the right answer and I’m pleasantly surprised to see that it’s winning right now at almost 40%. You were always going to take a step back once Brady left. Rather start the reset in 2020 than 2022. Pats weren’t winning the SB this year w/ Brady.
@AlbertBreer I know I’m in the minority but I disagree. I love the logos over the last 4 years. They nailed it going to that look. The 6 prior with the stadiums above the numbers weren’t great, I might have agreed with you then but I love the last 4 & some of those “unique” logos are hideous.
@MattMcCarthy985 It seems like a bad look in the moment but it will pass. I think Bill will bounce back just fine & both will end up adding to their legacies by splitting. Which is what I think each one wanted. Brady is doing it in the short, Bill will do it in the long term.
I was good with the Patriots moving on from Brady so I’m good with him in the Super Bowl but I can see how this must hurt the people who wanted him back. You guys thought he could be this good but he’s doing it for another team. All I know is I’d like to see him win it all.
