A secret: Being tough gets easier the fitter you are.

When you are 'out of shape', the alarm bell in your head goes off at the slightest sensation of discomfort. When you are fit or prepared, the alarm is quiet for much longer, only gradually increasing as discomfort grows.

Shawnee Mission West is excited to announce Emily Brier as the new Head Coach of the Viking Track & Field program.

[KSXCT&F @kansasrunning]

Over the last year and a half, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know the Davidson family through HERD Running, a youth running program that they started in Lenexa. I’ve seen firsthand how much they both care about each and every athlete that they interact with. Week after week, Ashlee and Aaron spread positivity, empower those around them, and help kids build character through the sport we all love. Without a doubt, they truly are both integral to the Kansas City running community and have impacted it for the better.

I would love to see as much of the running community out there supporting such an incredible family and a tremendous cause. Whether you’re an athlete, coach, or parent, there is a racing opportunity for you at the Nolan Davidson Champion’s Run on December 7th.

Bring your teams, bring your friends, bring your family, and bring everyone you know to help honor Nolan’s legacy and support a great cause.

TWO AMERICANS MAKE THE 1,500M OLYMPIC PODIUM HOLY CRAP! 🇺🇸

Cole Hocker makes the pass on the inside in the closing meters to outkick Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Josh Kerr for gold in 3:27.65.

Yared Nuguse SURGES down the stretch for bronze in 3:27.80.

World champion Kerr takes silver in 3:27.79. Still in awe with what we just witnessed.
