कार्यक्रम में माननीय मंत्री ने भारत सरकार की दूरदर्शी सोच और मत्स्य क्षेत्र में हासिल की गई रिकॉर्ड उपलब्धियों पर विस्तार से चर्चा की।
उन्होंने वित्त वर्ष 2025–26 में ₹73,890 करोड़ के ऐतिहासिक समुद्री खाद्य निर्यात, वर्ष 2014 के बाद मत्स्य उत्पादन में 105% की उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि, नए वैश्विक बाज़ारों एवं वैल्यू एडिशन के माध्यम से निर्यात को मिली नई गति तथा EEZ Access Pass एवं High Seas Letter of Authorisation जैसी दूरदर्शी पहलों पर महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी साझा की।

As part of the 4th Implementation Support Mission for PM-MKSSY, the World Bank and Agence Française de Développement (AFD) team, along with representatives from the PMU, Department of Fisheries, Government of India, visited the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB) in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The Mission interacted with NFDB officials and reviewed the progress of key initiatives under PM-MKSSY, gaining valuable insights into their implementation and the ongoing efforts to strengthen the fisheries sector.

The meeting was held in the august presence of Hon’ble Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying and Panchayati Raj, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abhilaksh Likhi, Secretary, Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Dr. Bijay Kumar Behera, Chief Executive, National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB); Dr. Surabhi Rai, Joint Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Government of India; senior officials of the Department of Fisheries, Government of India; officials of the Fisheries & Animal Resources Development Department, Government of Odisha; representatives of the National Fisheries Development Board (NFDB), ICAR institutes, NABARD, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), the Paradip Port Authority, and other key stakeholders.
