@Adam414 Somewhat, but then I’d ask why is Harrison also warming if the plan was just to get Megill work?

That means the score was dictating the decision and that doesn’t really make sense imo

The Brewers are now playing games that are legitimately meaningless.

I don’t think you should be throwing Megill with a 4-run lead when you have a chance to get Kyle Harrison an inning tonight, which could allow him to go again on Sunday.

If you can get two more looks at Harrison, that’s more valuable than anything else that can happen tonight, in my eyes at least.

@WiSports22 @JamesVandy3 That’s definitely fair. I think his issues are the type that it can suddenly click back into place, just like that and then he’s fine. Not that I’d immediately slot him into leverage games in the playoffs or anything but where I’d be ok with middle innings from him.

Sure, there’s an argument for it. I think there’s definitely value in that overall thought process. But I’m also not sure Harrison pitching there would be going against anyone keeping the competitive edge.

Not the biggest deal in the world. It’s also possible they already made up their mind on Harrison making or not making the roster so they’re not as worried about seeing it multiple times.

@JamesVandy3 Yeah that’s the tough part for me. It seems clear if they had tacked on another run they would’ve gone Harrison and that really shouldn’t be dictating any choices at this point

Brewers prospect Luis Peña underwent surgery today in Milwaukee with Dr. Raasch to address his fractured left ankle (fibula) suffered on a stolen base on Sept. 5.

Specific timeline TBD, though it’s typically 6-9 months. Brewers docs expect a full recovery.
