@MasonZabrina2 I agree, but I also think the parents need training on how to use those tools. Setting up parent training nights is difficult due to scheduling. A8 #itec9400#selfefficacy
#ITEC9400#selfefficacy A6: I had to learn how to troubleshoot parent computers remotely to enable students to complete their coursework. My customer service skills certainly improved, and it has helped since with families who have checked out Chromebooks for virtual learners.
@coachknight538 I did this some with my Brit. Lit. Students. They could write a traditional paper over our unit, or they could write a creative piece akin to what weโd read. My favs were Shakespearean sonnets and satire. Those were hilarious! ๐คฃ #itec9400#selfefficacy
# selfefficacy #ITEC9400 A4: I worked hard as a lit. teacher to create assignments that would be as realistic as possible to what my students would encounter in college. Creating โrealโ writing tasks helped build their confidence.
@TeamBorders @Kymmi_G @jenrivinius@mollybowden In some ways this really depends on how much/what kind of technology the teacher is trying to integrate. If theyโre trying to use interactive websites on an interactive panel, their TPACK needs to be high to ensure effective student engagement and achievement.
@jaiminju I love this. I used it a good deal in my Brit. Lit. Classes when students were struggling with essays. Talking through their problems with drafting helped them comprehend the process and make corrections/improvements. #itec9400#selfefficacy
@mollybowden A1 I do my very best to give credit where credit is due. When students in my classroom were successful, I called them out. When coworkers are successful, I call them out. I think it helps improve esteem. #selfefficacy#itec9400
