The scene is set outside a 4-acre farm, called "Khan Farms" in Uttarakhand. Vadra's sister-in-law Saira Vadra is seeking to take possession of a 4-acre parcel of land from an aged Muslim woman (apparently a relative) who claims that it was bequeathed to her. No sooner does Vadra show up that a local Cong MLA turns up with a posse of men (muscle) to advocate on her behalf. A tense stand off ensues with the local police. The Cong MLA tries to brow beat the administration with tough talk. The DM steps in. Asks both sides to submit documents attesting their claims and orders both sides to maintain status quo.
