Many people have already checked the $MON checker, and saw their Not Eligible

Let us figure out why, in the end, the project community was simply used

1/ The beginning

Most people heard about Monad back in spring 2025, when they announced a $225M investment round, with @paradigm among investors

From that moment, everyone started closely following the project, and slowly becoming part of its community

And I am not even talking about those, who joined after the Seed round in February 2023

2/ The start of the testnet

After several months of hype, they finally launched their testnet in February this year

There were an enormous number of wallets, which was alarming, because how could a project properly reward 300M wallets?
People immediately started searching for ways to stand out from the crowd of sybils, and became either very active in their Discord, attending all events and chatting daily, or covered almost the whole Monad testnet ecosystem

The hype was huge, and the competition was insane.

3/ Monad - the circus

I think everyone saw different photos of Monad cosplayers

People were literally humiliating themselves on camera, just to get a Discord role - drinking liquid from shoes, painting their whole body, cosplaying insects - basically acting like clowns

That is exactly when Monad, and part of its community, started to turn into a circus, where people were ready to do anything for a Discord role

4/ Warm up before the airdrop

Then the warm up for the TGE and mainnet started

The team began making statements, a page appeared on CMC, and domains with checkers started spreading

The hype was serious, and many hoped for a soon launch, and good rewards for half a year of work in the project

5/ The checker - a slap in the face for the community

And today is the big day, when one of the most anticipated projects of the year released the checker, and announced the coming TGE

And almost everyone saw “Not Eligible”

What actually happened?

Who got the $MON airdrop?

Eligible:

• 5,500 active Monad community members (Discord roles, Twitter, etc.) - got most of the tokens

• 225,000 on-chain addresses:
In reality, the drop went to people, who are not even connected with the project, and probably never heard about it

Even people, who had high roles that took months to get, did not receive their drop

6/ The result

I honestly think this is the disappointment of the year - the team founders completely disrespected their own community

Giving tokens to people, who have nothing to do with the project, and ignoring those, who lived the project for months...

I think it is hard to come up with a worse idea - this is truly legendary

And it also shows that, for many projects, their community means nothing to them, and the only thing that matters is money

After more than a year, the community worked hard testing Monad, and in the end, they ended up scammed.

Without that community, no one would have known about Monad.

Without that community, Monad wouldn't have seen the light of day so quickly.

And from the beginning, they gave the community a SBT called 1M nad, which was useless and was part of the scam to get the community to continue testing Monad.

In the end, they gave the airdrop to a small part of the community, and the rest of the airdrop went to well-known NFT communities that did nothing for Monad, as part of their marketing.

At least sui's team has given the $sui coin to a large part of its community for a very low price, earning them 50x or more
