Farewell to a Pioneer: Nadhira Al Harthy's Final Journey Home

The mountains celebrate courage, but they also remind us of the immense sacrifices made by those who dare to chase their dreams.

Today, the global mountaineering community bids a heartfelt farewell to Omani climber Nadhira Al Harthy, whose life was tragically cut short in the devastating Broad Peak avalanche in Pakistan's #Karakoram.

Following a challenging search and recovery operation, #Nadhira 's body has been recovered from Broad Peak and is being transported by helicopter to #Skardu . From there, arrangements will be made to repatriate her remains to Oman, where family, friends, and the nation will bid their final farewell.

#NadhiraAlHarthy was a trailblazer who inspired countless people across the Arab world. In 2019, she became the first Omani woman to summit #MountEverest and later successfully climbed #K2 and #NangaParbat , earning recognition as one of #Oman 's most accomplished mountaineers. Her passion, resilience, and determination broke barriers and inspired a new generation of adventurers.

As she embarks on her final journey home, her legacy will continue to live on in every climber who dares to dream beyond the horizon.
