Today, @socadido staff under the @NOSP_UG Project, together with Local Seed Business Producers supported under @NOSP_UG, have joined farmers, researchers, agribusiness companies & other stakeholders at the 2nd @Busitema1 & East Africa Grain Council (EAGC) Agribusiness Trade Expo.
Teso Sub region is well known for producing crops such as sesame, vegetables, Sunflower, groundnuts maize, cassava, sorghum, millet, sweet potatoes and rice. Beyond household food security, these crops remain an important source of income for many rural households.
The session also highlighted the importance of collective planning & public-private dialogue in addressing fragmented markets, limited access to finance and quality inputs, post-harvest losses, and weak business networks.

1/6: On July 30, 2026, our team successfully conducted a training on Value Chain Actors for Regular Hub-Level Multi-Stakeholder Platform under the @NOSP_UG
4/6: The training emphasized the critical role of Hub-Level MSPs in bringing together farmer organizations, cooperatives, LSBs, aggregators, traders, processors, financial institutions, agro-input dealers, & local governments to jointly address challenges affecting the sector.
