Update from the field! 🌿

Participants in our GREEN HARVESTS & RESILIENT HOMES Project have successfully transplanted tomatoes, eggplants, and Sukuma wiki (kale) turning their training, effort, and commitment into practical action.

This is more than farming. It is about strengthening household resilience, improving food security, promoting sustainable livelihoods, and creating pathways for families to become more self-reliant.

We are grateful to @IKEA , through @WeAreCohere_Org , for the generous support that is enabling communities to strengthen their resilience and build more sustainable homes and livelihoods.

🌱 Growing Food, Building Resilience

Through the Green Harvests and Resilient Homes Project, funded by the IKEA Foundation through COHERE, HARD Uganda is empowering refugee and host communities with climate-smart agriculture.

At one of our three demonstration sites in Rhino Camp Extension, Omugo Refugee Settlement, 60 members are preparing land to transplant vegetable seedlings raised in the nursery. The project supports refugee households no longer receiving food assistance from the World Food Programme (WFP), helping them improve food security, nutrition, and household incomes through sustainable vegetable production.

HARD Uganda remains committed to equipping communities with practical skills and opportunities that promote self-reliance, resilience, and sustainable development.
