"I especially appreciate his efforts to make sure that schools such as the Cottonwood School are chemical weapon free zones. I’m also calling today in solidarity with those working to stop ICE’s abuses and create a safer, more just, and more humane immigration system."
Call @SenatorRonWyden
Portland office - 503-326-7525
DC office - 202-224-5244
Suggested script: “I want to thank the Senator for his leadership and his tireless efforts to get answers about the Federal use of force in Portland including the use of tear gas."
@SenatorRonWyden has been a true champion, holding DHS’s feet to the fire and refusing to hold a confirmation hearing in his committee for the nominee to lead CBP until questions about the Federal use of force in Portland were answered.
Will you call the Senator and thank him?
THANK YOU @SenatorRonWyden, for your leadership and oversight of DHS to make sure our school is no longer subjected to chemical weapons such as tear gas.

Today is our first day back to school in over a year but the playground is contaminated and closed. Kids need to be able to play safely outside. Parents are having a rally at 4 pm today to say - SCHOOL SHOULD BE A CHEMICAL WEAPON FREE ZONE.
Parents tell KOIN they’re worried about chemical munitions and weapons being used by law enforcement near a Portland school. @JenDowlingKoin6 has the story:
Come stand with us for DC statehood Sunday, April 11, from 5-5:30 in front of the Laurelhurst Theater at NE 28th. We need as many people as we can get as part of a big media campaign that Indivisible is putting together! #BlackLivesMatter#pdx
SCHOOL SHOULD BE A CHEMICAL WEAPON FREE ZONE
Our elected officials have been helping us push ICE on this, and we need them to keep it up. Will you take a few minutes today and call @repblumenauer?

At our school, when kids come back to school the playground will be off limits. Federal agents use of chemical weapons have left it contaminated and unsafe. Our kids have been through enough this year - they shouldn't have to worry about this, too.
Our kids have been through a lot this year. They've done so much to adapt to the pandemic - from distance learning to wearing masks, it's been a total change to their normal routines. Now, with hybrid learning they are going back in the classroom for the 1st time in a year.
