Every console I own is modded / homebrewed but I will not jailbreak my ps5 (even with recent developments) for these reasons, and I urge everyone to atleast consider the following before they do it themselves:

1. The process is new. Things are unstable and there is room for user error. It's not the end of the end of the world if you somehow brick your $100 ps4, but these are $350 consoles on the low end that we're talking about

2. It's not gonna be some easy access heaven where you can open a shop and download every game ever for free. No online doesnt just mean you cant play zombies with your friends. It means every single game & game update you get from that point forward requires manual installation and transfer from a computer. Keep in mind most ps5 games are 100+ GB which makes this process even more annoying. Also, while ps5 dumps are not the hardest thing to find, usually sites that carry current gen dumps are cumbersome with download limits and just generally are a bitch to use. Also, more importantly, some games dont even have dumps that are easily found, or they dont run properly through homebrew, or they dont run at all.

3. Even if you put in a disc, you still have to manually download and install the updates for that game, and these days alot of games are cooked without their day 1 patches. This makes your physical media more annoying to use

4. I will stress again there is no online for jailbroken consoles. Sure you can pirate gta6, but when gta online comes out you're gonna have to factory reset and buy a copy anyways.

The good thing is, you can just factory reset if you dont like the jailbreak, so in theory there's no reason not to try it. But unless you're comfortable with this type of shit, which the average person isn't, or you're hard protesting sony, I don't really think its worth the risk in trying

@NaniLuv1_ I tried it today actually. Works and has a good user interface. People are saying it has pop up ads mid stream now, thats the only reason I didn't recommend it. I didnt have ads when I tried it but I only let stuff play for a few minutes when I tested so idk.
