@wildwithwolves@uramakri The symposium was a celebration of India's leadership in this space, hosted at TU Delft for a civil-engineering audience. Our goal is engineering that prioritises biodiversity, with India leading the way — I think we're on the same side. — Dr. Indushree Banerjee, organizer

@DilipYadav_AITC Honourable sir, Many thanks for the clean water supply. With folded hands, we request your attention to the deteriorating water pollution in our locality at Bireswar banerjee Street. The pond is a dumping ground for all drains in the locality, making it a health hazard. Help!
@SwachhBharatGov in the locality of Uttarpara Kotrung Municipality that helped win the Global C40 Award for its urban solid waste management, I am saddened to report the horrible conditions that senior citizens, children live in with contaminated groundwater and dengue outbreak
But here's the kicker: Tigers are way more adaptable than we thought. Like humans, they have tricks up their sleeves to survive the ever-changing world. And boy, did we realize we needed to up our data game pronto! What we knew yesterday might not cut it today.
In our participatory workshop, we delved into the mysteries of TIGER. Did you know they're water aficionados, spending up to six hours immersed? They're discreet diners, preferring solitude. And when it comes to habitat, they're discerning. Where, do these cats find love? 🐅💦🍽️
Picture this: maps, drawings, and even an ABM (that's an Agent-Based Model for the uninitiated) all duking it out to understand how tigers cope with changing rivers, rising temps, and pesky humans interrupting their jungle groove.
In our workshops, there are no stereotypes—nope, snack-serving or secretarial shenanigan. Our fierce female participants were challenging traditional norms to offer invaluable field observations; they weren't just participants but behind groundbreaking insights.
"Designing Emergence" in my talk today at #ComplexityScienceHubVienna with @COSS_eth, I present the significance of emergent values in the design and analysis of socio-technical and ecological systems, such as co-existence with nature and participation during disasters.
Last but not the least!
Final day of our workshop: "Co-Creating the Future: Participatory Cities and Digital Governance"

Join me online on the 23rd of November at 12:00 at TU Delft, Aula, where I will defend my Ph.D. dissertation, "Self-organisation for Survival." A live telecast link will be available 1 week before the defense. The thesis can is available here to download: https://t.co/0ykOsbohd2
@DudleyMarianna@BBCRadio4 We have just started an exciting research project, relating tiger, deer, humans, vegetation and water in Nepal. @UniUtrecht coordinates, many partners with several PhDs. Our postdoctoral researcher @SOSBanerjee at @wrmtudelft will connect the dots with agent-based modelling.
