Guess who is running the NH Dept of Ed? The #1 Choice of Free Staters who want to dismantle & defund public schools for all - Comm Frank Edelblut @NHEdCommr #NHPolitics#SOSNH
JUST IN: NH District Court Judge Paul Barbadoro has *struck down* the 2021 "divisive concepts"/"banned concepts" teaching law, ruling that it is unconstitutionally vague and violates the 14th Amendment.

The state of NH refuses to adequately fund public schools…shifting burden to local property taxpayers, while insisting on spending millions on vouchers for those already in private school. #NHPolitics#SupportOurSchoolsNH
Similar numbers elsewhere have been covered @WSJ@politico@educationweek@hechingerreport and more:
AR, AZ, IA, IN, NH, OH, and WI: 65-89% of voucher users were already in private school.
Before taxpayers picked up the check with a voucher.
This Giving Tuesday, please donate to Support Our Schools NH https://t.co/XuDWaYVuOl to help us increase our capacity to defend New Hampshire's public schools from those who seek to dismantle and defund them! Thank you! #NHPolitics#SupportOurSchoolsNH
The NH Supreme Court has ruled again and again that the State has a constitutional duty to fund education. But the State only pays about 20% of the actual cost of education, and local property tax payers are left with the biggest piece of the pie, or wishbone, as the case may be.
STORY: The Rockingham County Superior Court issued a pair of groundbreaking rulings today that would upend New Hampshire's education funding formula.
The rulings are almost certain to be appealed to the New Hampshire Supreme Court.

The court ruled on the ConVal and Rand school funding lawsuits today, and fair funding for NH students and taxpayers won in both cases.
The court held in ConVal that base adequacy can be no less than $7,356.01 per pupil, meaning the current amount of $4,100 is unconstitutional.
BREAKING: Two huge education funding rulings from Rock. County Sup. Court.
1) Court finds the $4100 base adequacy unconstitutional – says should be no less than $7356 per year.
2) Court finds SWEPT tax unconstitutional. Orders an end to towns retaining excess SWEPT. #NHPolitics

@NHEdCommr: #PragerU is a little divisive, don’t you think? We find it hard to believe it was impossible to find a politically neutral vendor to provide financial literacy…what were your motives here? 🤔#NHPolitics#SupportOurSchoolsNH
Having strong financial literacy can be an empowering skill. Providing students with the tools to manage their finances early helps them to become financially successful adults. @prageru https://t.co/jOzppImMoK
Can’t say we’re surprised by this State Board of Ed. It’s up to parents now to refuse PragerU “programs” for their kids. We keep heading more towards FL academic standards when we used to be at the top. #PragerU#NHPolitics#SupportOurSchoolsNH
BREAKING: The NH State Board of Ed has *approved* the inclusion of a financial literacy program by PragerU, the conservative media org, in the state’s Learn Everywhere program.
The vote means public school students will be able to watch the videos to get credits. #NHPolitics
@mariapz1974@sellwithselig@CarisaCorrow .@LPS_KentStreet: “PragerU is here today, aggressively taking video of us who oppose PragerU and being told that because it’s in a public place I can’t ask them to not film me. This is unacceptable from a vendor.”
Rev Gail Kinney: “anyone who says these videos will bring about financial literacy needs to re-learn the definition of literacy. Today it’s financial literacy, who knows what it’s going to be tomorrow. Your blessing of PragerU would be a moral and public policy travesty…
Why “table” a bad idea when you can just say no to it in the first place?🤔🤔🤔 #SupportOurSchoolsNH#NHPolitics

Just now: The NH State Board of Education has *tabled* a vote to approve a financial literacy course by PragerU, a conservative media company.
Board chairman Drew Cline says he wants more info from PragerU on assessments + how it will separate political content. #NHPolitics
