The Journalists who are covering the WB Panchayat Election Nominations; on the ground, are facing the ire of the TMC goons & anti-socials.
They have been threatened, have been subjected to abusive language & even physically assaulted for reporting the truth. The truth has put the spotlight on how the ruling party functions undemocratically during the elections.
The Journalists have been brave & didn't buckle under the pressure exerted by the TMC thugs. They have covered live bombing & gun shots firing; as their counterparts do in a War Zone.

I condemn the brutal attacks on the Journalists. Is it their fault, that they have reported how the TMC Party is obstructing opposition candidates from filing nominations?
The Police were present all along but they didn't care to prevent the assaults.

Lastly, I would like to ask the pseudo-intellectuals & the self proclaimed "Buddhi-Jeevi"s, why are they silent on the attacks on the Opposition Candidates & Journalists and in some cases on the Police personnel in WB?
They would have shed a lot of crocodile tears by now even if a fraction of this had happened in a BJP ruled State.
